PrepQuip was founded in 2000 by the managing director Mr. Nardus Terblanche. Mr. Terblanche saw an opportunity in the mining industry with regards to column flotation and the recovery of fine coal and sulphide related minerals. PrepQuip has since grown to the world leader in platinum column flotation. Moreover, the PrepQuip Group has grown since and is currently conducting business in the mining, metallurgical and waste water treatment industries with various companies in South Africa and throughout the world.
Mr. Terblanche started working with mineral processing equipment at Multotec (Pty) Ltd.
Mr. Terblanche signs an agreement with Technicas Hydraulicas (TH filter press) to become the sole supplier and distributer of the TH filter press on the African continent.
BLS (Pty) Ltd was established to service the equipment supplied by PrepQuip.
BLS (Pty) Ltd was renamed to PrepQuip Technical Services (Pty) Ltd.
The first turn-key project was conducted by Mr. Terblanche.
PrepQuip (Pty) Ltd. was founded by Mr. Nardus Terblanche and was based at 5 Zurich Road, Spartan Ext 2, Kempton Park. This was a management takeover of the Column Flotation Division in Multotech by PrepQuip.
PrepQuip Green (Pty) Ltd was established supplying enzymes and bacteria consumables to the effluent treatment and water purification industries.
